General Plastic Extrusions, Inc. is a manufacturer of bags, tubing, and sheeting for the Food and Industrial Industries.

The story of General Plastic Extrusions began in 1985 when Grant Durhman was selling feed to farmers. Grant and his father, Neil Durhman patented the Bag A Load System for loading wet brewers' grains into silage bags. In 1986, they began folding silage bags and continued to work with farmers on this alternative storage and cattle nutrition. In 1993 Grant purchased his first blown film line and began producing small polyethylene bags as he founded General Plastic Extrusions. In 1994 they sold their silage bag folding business and Grant began to pursue his newly founded blown film company.
