UI/UX Designer

We are a team that is obsessed with making the complex simple, and we are looking for a designer that is passionate about crafting brilliantly simple interfaces. Our ideal candidate is able to display an in-depth understanding of hierarchy of information, composition, color relationships and interface workflows in their portfolio.

As a UI/UX designer, you will have the opportunity to construct and iterate upon interfaces in key components of our product, including the dashboard and admin area for user-generated content, in-app messaging, company profiles, search, and much more. You must constantly be aware of traffic data to build the best user experience, and be open to collaborative, constructive criticism.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze user interface problems and create on-brand design solutions that meet measurable business goals and requirements
  • Collaborate with the business team to construct use cases and high-level requirements
  • Manage creative product improvements
  • Develop and iterate UI/UX workflows
  • Research, understand and build upon brand strategy to maintain consistency across mediums
  • Manage standards and functions across all modern browsers and devices
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in product/web/interaction design
  • A portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating great user-centric design solutions
  • High level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Constant desire to innovate and balance business priorities
  • Stay current on design trends and technology evolution on the web
  • Obsessive attention to detail
  • Prior startup experience preferred

The data specialist we are looking for will have the opportunity to enhance the depth, quality, and functionality of Maker’s Row for thousands of users.

Responsibilities

  • Performing data entry
  • Industry research
  • Managing data metrics
  • Determining data quality priorities for the database
  • Develop data improvement processes to maintain and/or improve its value

Qualifications

  • Startup experience and the desire to build a growing business from the ground up
  • Prior experience with data quality analysis and auditing experience
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience
  • Great communication skills and a talent for collaboration
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

This position will provide hands-on experience in copywriting, social media, and coordinating events. The ideal candidate will bring energy and passion to everything they do and be comfortable in a fast paced start-up environment.

  • Assist in development of programs and strategies to build online/offline awareness and engagement

  • Help develop new processes to improve the ability for Maker’s Row to serve customers
  • Work on special projects within Maker’s Row based on the team's needs

  • Help develop new processes to improve customer experience on the site
