Custom Furniture

Mark Schmidt began working with wood and metal in his youth in Jordan, MN. His design sense fuses an economy of form with thoughtful handling of detail for pieces that exude graceful functionality. His material interests involve high quality wood, stone, and leather, and his pieces stand out for their flawless construction. His specialties include Stickley furniture reproductions from the turn-of-the-century, custom tables, lamps, mirrors, boxes, cabinets and sculptures based on sacred geometry. Mark's interest in metal is expressed in his jewelry design, a craft he learned from his father, the artist Christian Schmidt.
