Have you ever seen a piece of fine furniture in a museum or gallery that you envisioned having
in your own home? Have you thought about giving a high-quality piece of furniture to your
children or grandchildren that would become a cherished family heirloom?
I design and build custom furniture, specializing in one-of-a-kind pieces, in my shop located
in rural Mason, NH. Since 1986, I have designed and built original pieces to suit my customer’s
needs and style. Whether working from rough sketches or recreating the lines of original period
pieces, I work with customers to create furniture that is both beautiful and functional.
Along with building original items, I also do limited runs on smaller items, such as table lamps,
jewelry boxes, and small Shaker accessories. For a list of some of the more popular pieces I
have built, please take a look at the gallery page.
For me, fine furniture-making is a way of life; my goal is to build furniture that will last for
generations. My designs often extend beyond the traditional; I strive to illuminate the
character and quality of the wood coupled with the style of the customer.
I am a regular exhibitor at the “Made in New Hampshire Expo” in Manchester NH (April) and
the “League of N.H. Craftsmen fair” at Mt. Sunapee, N.H. (August). I also offer pieces for sale
at the League galleries throughout the state and other select galleries in New England, or by
appointment at my shop.
