Westerwald Pottery is the brain child of Phil Schaltenbrand, author, historian, professor, and potter extraordinaire. Schaltenbrand's pottery studios, located forty-five miles south of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania along historic Route 40, are visited annually by thousands from across America and around the world who come to watch pottery being made the "old fashioned way."
