Granite Knitwear which is entering its third generation as a family owned business was established in 1968 by Frank & Mary Jones. For the first 6 years, the company concentrated on building up its wholesale customer base and expanding its knit products.
By 1974 the demand for T-shirts as outerwear was increasing dramatically. To enter this retail market Cal Cru company was created, a label was designed and a sales force was formed.
