The Lemaire family, in Quebec, was into recycling long before sustainable development became a buzzword. In 1964, Antonio Lemaire and his sons began producing paper from recycled fiber. And the rest, as they say, is history. Nearly half a century later, the small family-operated business has blossomed into a multinational packaging and tissue paper company employing over 11,000 people in more than 100 production units in North American and Europe. Cascades produces, converts, and markets packaging and tissue products composed mainly of recycled fiber. Our research, innovation, environmentally responsible practices and products are what distinguish us from the competition.
