The dream was to start a company that would "bring back American Made" in an era of mass outsourcing.

Leather Works Minnesota began in a basement in 1999. From the beginning, the dream was to start a company that would "bring back American Made" in an era of mass outsourcing. Each item is made by hand and inspected at every phase of the process. From sewing to burnished edges, we are constantly pursuing excellence. We only use the finest materials, with the majority of our leather coming from Red Wing's S.B. Foot tannery (1872). We never allow an item to leave our front door that we are not proud of.
