Traditional Designs owner and master craftsman, built his first kitchen in 1979 and after working with master craftsmen in Sweden for several years, he returned to Vermont in 1987 and opened Traditional Design. Since 1989, the Skinner Barn in Waitsfield has been home to his millwork and custom cabinetry enterprise.

Mark's designs reflect the traditional Vermont architectural style of the Greek Revival and Federal period. His design work is influenced by Scandinavian, Craftsman, and Shaker styles.
