Hibco Plastics, Inc. was incorporated in 1959 as three primary investors, C.B. Hughes, J.W. Irvin, and S.A. Bell, saw the future importance of fabricating Dow Brand foam for the floral industry.

The initial focus Hibco had on floral markets shifted in 1979 when Dan Pavlansky entered the business and started to concentrate more in the area of cushion packaging. "Production run" means making a lot of one product at once. The factories listed under "production" can produce small and/or large quantities. The minimum order for a production run can vary from factory to factory (some have no minimum, some require a dozen, and some require up to 1,000 to be made at once)
