Born in the Northern California Bay Area, she spent time in Berkeley and Marin County, and went to UC Santa Cruz, studying environmental studies. Naturally, she was interested in making things; creating yarns, weaving, spinning. In 2010, after spending many years working in the tech industry, Kathy decided to start Botanical Colors where she works with clients that range from designers/artisans to small companies, and large companies.
