Last week, the Maker’s Row team paid a visit to Hemsmith, a production house in Long Island City that specializes in women’s apparel. It’s a powerhouse in the community with a 27-year tenure. We were fortunate to sit with Caryn Hsu, the Client Relations Manager, who spoke with us about what motivates her to see the company grow: her parents legacy. She is interested in working with emerging brands with lower minimums but is also comfortable with high volume orders because that’s what the team is accustomed to. Her greatest hope is to see Hemsmith thrive, and she is taking to the internet to help her with that goal.
